ABOUT ETHNIC ONLINE

Kaye Long

Hello New England,

Hello New England! Let me first start off by introducing myself. My name is Kaye Long Editor In-Chief of “Ethnic On-line” New England’s Magazine for Ethnic Professionals. If I may quote the lyrics of Etta James “AT LAST”!!! Ethnic On-line or as we like to call it E has been a magazine in the making for a long time.

The concept came about by meeting hundreds of Ethnic Professionals who have attended our networking events with the Professionals Connection over the past 7 years. The wealth of talented professionals who would attend our events made it very clear that we needed a positive platform to showcase the under appreciated talent that exist among Ethnic Professionals in New England. After conducting several “focus group” studies in the New England states over the past few years and getting positive feed back we are proud to bring to you “Ethnic On-line”!

Ethnic On-line will be produced “quarterly” with the goal of inspiring, motivating & educating our readers. Additionally we want to demonstrate to our youth that to be positively profiled in the media, you don’t have to be an athlete, rapper or entertainer….but there are other positive and rewarding skills that can be developed. Ethnic On-line will also become the “Ethnic Media” platform of choice for our many “corporate partners” for recruiting and retaining the best of the best of New England’s talented professionals along with the many products and services they have to offer.

What can you expect to find in our Inaguraual issue? You will find hot topics in our ongoing “Health” section such as “Black Women’s Tumors Hard to Treat” or the “Finance” section that talks about how attainable “Real Estate” opportunities exist in New England. Be sure to visit our “Fashion” & “Home” sections that are written with the latest styles and designs available. Don’t forget to visit our “Photo Gallery” to find out where the who’s who of New England likes to gather. And of course our signature piece “Ethnic Gems” that profiles the many talented professionals in New England along with the “Ethnic Gems In The Making” that will profile our amazing “college students” in New England who are excelling in their studies.

Also in this issue and others to follow we will continue to work with “Interns” such as Jamila Hudson of Wheelock College and Andriana Swim from Salem State both journalism majors, who interviewed and wrote the “Ethnic Gems In The Making” profiles. Or our seasoned contributing writers such as Jon Salvi and Mike Bruny, who wrote many of the “Ethnic Gem” profiles, will also continue to provide our readers with inspiring, motivating and educational stories.

We hope that you are as excited about Ethnic On-line as we are; we look forward to your continuous support and feed back. So let’s enjoy the ride together and please share this with “like minded” individuals!!

Sincerely,
Kaye Long
